Our story
Made by people covered in fur.
Littlest Fable exists because we got tired of choosing between looking put together and being the person our pets run to. So we stopped choosing.
It started with a lint roller.
Actually, three of them. One by the front door, one in the car, one in a work bag. Our dog is a professional lap-sitter, and every hug came with a clean-up before we could leave the house. Even then, someone would point out the hair on our shoulder halfway through a meeting.
Our favourite knits had pulls from a cat who kneads like it's her job. And the clothes made for people like us were mostly slogan tees we'd happily wear to the dog park and never to dinner.
We didn't want to love our pets a little less. We wanted clothes that could keep up.
What we learned
So we started asking why.
We took apart our own wardrobes, talked to other pet parents, and read what vets actually say. Three things kept coming up.
Fuzz catches fur.
Most hoodies are brushed fuzzy on the outside, and that soft pile is exactly what pet hair weaves into. A smooth, tightly knit face lets fur sit on top, where a hand can sweep it away.
Loops catch claws, and mouths.
Chenille, loose knits and decorative trims snag kneading paws. Worse, strings and threads can be chewed and swallowed, and vets treat swallowed string as a genuine emergency, especially in cats.
Nobody was thinking about the pet.
Our pets spend hours pressed against what we wear. Yet fragrance finishes, untested dyes and dangling cords were everywhere, with no one asking whether they belonged near a curious nose.

What we'll never claim.
The people we make these for deserve the truth, and so do their pets.
"Fur-proof."
No fabric is. Your pet will still shed on you. Ours just lets it go with a swipe.
"Hypoallergenic."
Every pet is different and reactions have many causes. We remove the usual suspects and say exactly what we left out.
"Indestructible."
Very sharp claws can catch any knit. ClawGuard™ makes snags far less likely, and nail trims help both of you.
